概要: bariatric surgery とは

体重を減らすことを目的とした手術を bariatric surgery という。いくつか具体例を挙げておく。

Sleeve gastrectomy

Sleeve gastrectomy は、外科的に胃を小さくする手術である (図; ref 1, 2)。胃の大部分を切り取り、ピンクの部分を残す。容量は、手術前の 15% 程度になる。

Roux-En-Y

Roux-En-Y も bariatric surgery の一つで、食道と、小腸 intestine の一部である空腸 jejunum を繋いでしまうという乱暴な手術である (図; ref 3)。
